On Your Gaydar: LGBTQ+ Brands in SATX
"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are." Brene Brown
As we all know, the month of June has been deemed Pride Month, to honor the 1969 Stonewall Riots fighting for equality and fair treatment to those within the community. Since then, the LGBTQ+ community has done a tremendous job educating, opening doors and completely changing the game in many different industries, one major one being business. According to the US Chamber of Commerce, "The LGBT business owners that NGLCC represents generate over $1.7 trillion in economic impact, create jobs and innovate business solutions nationwide."
So, what better way to celebrate and show your support for the LGBTQ+ community than by supporting their businesses? For this article I wanted to keep it local, so, below I have created a list of LGBTQ brands to show your support for that are located right in San Antonio, Texas.

With San Antonio being a small town on the (very quick) rise, shopping with local businesses is the easiest and one of the most effective ways to support our community. While #PrideMonth is only officially for one month, lets, as people, always continue to make the conscious effort to support and most importantly, accept those around us. Remember that pride is so much more than a feeling, it's an attitude, wear it with confidence.
